Drone Operations in European Standard Scenario – STS 01

Visual Line of Sight (VLOS) operations over a controlled terrestrial area in a populated environment with UAS that have class C5 marking.

At High Line Division Unmanned Systems, we understand the complexity of conducting drone operations in urban environments. This scenario becomes even more complicated when operating near airports, air bases, or military installations. Managing permits and communications, the confluence of a significant volume of necessary coordination’s, and the obligation to coordinate aeronautical assessments of operational risks that reflect flight procedures, safety measures, and, above all, risk mitigation both in the air and on the ground make this an extremely complex operation.

To carry out these operations, we have previously coordinated aeronautical safety assessments (EAROs) with air traffic controllers such as Enaire, Saerco or Skyway (formerly Ferronats) as well as with military authorities for some areas, particularly in Madrid, but this is not all….

At High Line Division Unmanned Systems we have aircraft with C5 and C6 certificates for the execution of air operations both in the Standard Urban Scenario STS 01, as well as for STS 02 for operations beyond visual range (BVLOS) over controlled land area in sparsely populated environments.

We were the first in Europe to certify an AUTEL brand aircraft from the EVO Max series with interchangeable payloads with high resolution, thermal and night cameras, equipped with accessories such as high intensity lights for night work or a communication speaker for broadcasting recorded messages or live real-time voiceovers.

Our aircraft can fly continuously for up to 42 minutes and allows hot-swapping of batteries, enables flight in GPS-denied environments, features 720° anti-collision sensors with no blind spots, AI-powered identification and precise object tracking, anti-jamming and anti-interference systems, IP43 weather rating, mesh network technology, and video recording with 8K resolution at 10x optical zoom, 50-megapixel resolution photos, a 640 x 512 px thermal sensor and 16x digital zoom, and a low-light night camera. These features and capabilities make this aircraft an unparalleled tool.

With its FTS safe flight termination system, parachute, loudspeakers and night lights, this aircraft and our legal department are ready to take off in urban environments with maximum speed to serve your needs.

Streaming Transmission

In addition to all this, our mobile unit has the ability to stream live to RTMP/SRT servers, social media platforms or private platforms and/or control centres, with secure access, open or with password-protected users.

Drone Operations in European Standard Scenario – STS 02

Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) Operations over a controlled land area in a sparsely populated environments with UAS having Class C6 marking.

Our fleet is equipped with the latest technologies and flight equipment available on the market. We have a nest system from the industry-leading manufacturer, the DJI Dock 3, with a DJI Matrice 4 TD aircraft marked C2-C6 class for use both on STS-02 with the Dock 3 and with its DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise controller. This system, operated by the dedicated DJI Flighthub 2 software suite, drastically reduces the operational time for designing and deploying automated missions. It also allows for the development and archiving of mission libraries for remote management, maximizing performance and efficiency while significantly reducing operating costs.

This system, resistant to extreme weather conditions with temperatures from -30° to 50° Celsius, whose electronic systems are encapsulated with IP 56 environmental certification for Dock 3, and IP 55 for the aircraft, this DJI Matrice 4TD aircraft offers wind resistance of 12 m/s, noise reduction propellers and anti-freeze properties that allow for safe and quiet flight in freezing rain.

Streaming Transmission

As in the previous section, in addition to what was mentioned above, we have the ability to stream in high definition video feed from our 4x4 mobile unit to RTMP/SRT servers, social media platforms or to private platforms and/or control centers, with secure access, openly or with users protected by a password.
